Title VI of the Civil Rights Act

Concord Area Transit (CAT) ensures that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and statutes and authorities that prohibit discrimination in federally assisted programs and activities be excluded from participating in or denied benefits of or be subjected to discrimination as it relates to the provision of public transportation services provided by CAT.

Any person who would like additional information on CAT’s non-discrimination obligation, or believes that he or she has been subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and statutes and authorities that prohibit discrimination in federally assisted programs and activities, may file a complaint with the CAT within 180 days of the date of the alleged discrimination.

Any person also has the right to file a complaint directly with FTA by filing a complaint with the Office of Civil Rights, Attention: Title VI Program Coordinator, East Building, 5th Floor-TCR, 1200 New Jersey Ave., SE, Washington, DC 20590.
